Barbara Furtuna is a male vocal quartet, completely devoted to the polyphonic song. The group is composed by singers known and respected on the island of Corsica for more than 20 years.

That is probably the reason why we hear and feel that perfect mastering of harmony and nuance during their concerts.

Their singing distinguishes itself by an equilibrium between traditional, sacred and profane polyphony, own creations and even adaptations and covers of old songs that stayed in our collective memory. The gradation of colors through the repertoire gives an unexpected tonicity, very rarely heard on a vocal concert.

The intertwining of the four voices leads us to a new emotion. The singers testify of a cultural heritage brought by the Corsican Reacquistu on the seventies. This heritage is projected into a future, carried by a ground which inspires them a will to meet the Other, to move and to be moved by other places and other people.

All along the concert, the group gives us a testimony, one of four men for whom ‘human’ is in the centre of a musical adventure, where their voices fusion and surrender without restraint.
